Phil Brawner is the only person on the PDI team with no formal degree in design, yet he possesses a strong sense of style and a wealth of experience in home furnishings. Phil grew up in the furniture business, working in his family’s store. After a successful career in advertising design and television direction, he turned to the world of home and commercial design to merge his creative passions with interior design.
“I think a home should be welcoming, creative, rich with texture and look smart.” Phil admits, “It’s hard to define one particular style that I specialize in. I appreciate many looks, from formal to warm contemporary, mid-century modern to mission and transitional to thematic styles.” And as individual as each space is, Phil believes, “The best interiors have a sense of understatement, even if the room is bold and showy. But on the opposite end of the scale, the most serene spaces can benefit from a little ‘wow factor’.”
